Weekend News Roundup

A slice of Queen Victoria's wedding cake (dating from February 10th 1840) has been discovered at Windsor Castle library. That's a library that could do with more frequent cleaning.

The Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has called George Bush "more dangerous than a monkey with a razor blade". Heh heh. Can't argue with that.

The news about warming is worse than we thought. and it's probably even worse than that: The Bush administration will have tried its best to weaken the message. Chavez wasn't joking.

Snow!

Yeah it snowed briefly last week - and I mised getting a photograph! Oh well - maybe next time. However, it has warmed up a bit and all the Spring flowers are bursting out all over. Holy Trinity Churchyard is awash with crocus.
